Ambassador Téte António, Minister of External Relations, held on 13 July 2023, a courtesy meeting in Nairobi with Dr Alfred Ng'ng'a Mutua, Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 43rd Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union and worked as an opportunity for the two heads of diplomacy to discuss issues of bilateral interest, particularly economic issues, as well as regional and international issues.
Cooperation between the Republic of Angola and the Republic of Kenya reached its high point in 2012 with the signing of four legal instruments, namely:
1) The General Agreement on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation;
2) The Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Angola and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya;
3) The Agreement on the Creation of the Bilateral Commission and;
4) The Agreement for the Operation of Air Services between and beyond their respective territories, in the field of transport.
