The Embassy of Angola hosted on February 28, 2020, the Ambassadors of the SADC countries in Nairobi for a meeting to agree positions on the activities of the SADC Group and on the functional relations with institutions of the host country.
At the meeting and as guests, representatives of UNEP (United Nations Environment Program), Stanbic Bank and the of South Africa Airways, provided information on the functioning of their institutions and the Ambassadors decided to strengthen their cooperation with companies from SADC countries operating in Kenya, such as the Stanbic Bank, South Africa Airways and others.
The Ambassadors of the SADC Group suggested the creation of a Business Forum of companies from SADC countries represented in Kenya, guaranteeing institutional support for this purpose.The Ambassadors of Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and the Chargé D´affair of DRC, Mozambique, Zambia and South Africa, addressed on the preparations for the 2020 edition of the joint commemorative ceremony for SADC Day in Nairobi.
The meetings of the SADC Group of Ambassadors are held monthly and on a rotating basis in the Chancelleries of the member states of this regional organization.
