The Ambassador, Sianga Abílio, presented, on August 31, 2021, to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, the Letter of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola in the Federal Republic of Somalia, with residence in Nairobi.
At the ceremony, which took place at the presidential palace, in Mogadishu, the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia considered Angola a friendly country recalling Somalia's contribution during the liberation struggle of Angola and other countries such as Mozambique.
In a meeting that preceded the audience with the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Ambassador Sianga Abílio presented the copy of the Letter of Credence to the Permanent Secretary of the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Ali-Nur Hagi, and the two acknowledged on the occasion Angola's vast experience in the oil exploration and production sector and in oil production-sharing contracts, an experience that can be shared with Somalia, according to the two interlocutors.
