The Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to the Republic of Kenya, Sianga Abílio, encouraged on May 5, in Nairobi the citizens of the CPLP countries to take on the mission of promoting the dissemination of the Portuguese language to make it more and more in an instrument of international communication and in a working language in international and regional organizations.
The Ambassador, Sianga Abílio, who chairs the group of CPLP Ambassadors in Kenya, spoke at the opening session of a video conference that celebrated the International Day of the Portuguese Language with the participation of Ambassadors, Diplomats, citizens of the Community of Countries Portuguese speakers and friends of the Portuguese language.
In his speech the Ambassador, Sianga Abílio, reiterated the need for the Embassies of the CPLP countries in Kenya to continue to work hand in hand through a technical group for the elaboration of an Action Plan aimed at dissemination of the Portuguese language, the reality of the countries, peoples and its rich culture. The video conference was dominated by a moment of interaction between the participants to address topics related to the Portuguese language, the cultural diversity of the countries and peoples of the CPLP and the exchange of particular experiences in this phase of social isolation due to the COVID-19.
