The Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the Republic of Kenya Sianga Abílio held on 6 July 2020 a videoconference with members of the Angolan Community residing in Kenya, as part of the process of monitoring the situation of Angolan citizens given the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic in this East African country.

At the meeting, the Ambassador Sianga Abílio learned about the concerns of the Community members and the difficulties faced by some Angolan citizens who have already completed their university studies and other trainings and who took advantage of the event to request the support of Angolan authorities to return to the country.

Ambassador Sianga Abílio made it known that he had already communicated the situation to the authorities in Luanda and promised to continue to engage in contacts with similar entities in the country, while also proposing some options for the consideration of members of the Angolan Community which could provide the return of compatriots.
