The Angolan Ambassador to Kenya, Mr. Sianga Abílio, urged on 26.10.2019 the Angolans living in Kenya in Nairobi to be organized in an Association for a better interaction between the members of the Community and the Diplomatic Mission.
The Ambassador was speaking at a socialization meeting between Angolan Embassy officials and members of the Community that served to hear about the situation of Angolan citizens and to provide clarification on the responsibilities of the Diplomatic Mission to the Community.
Community members were also briefed by the Ambassador on the state of cooperation between the Republic of Angola and the Republic of Kenya.
The meeting reiterated the need and importance of all Angolans to proceed with their Consular Registration for certification and better interaction between the Diplomatic Mission and the Community.
Responding to Ambassador Sianga Abílio's suggestion, the members of the Community set up a Committee for the establishment of an Association soon.
In Kenya there are about fifty Angolan citizens, mostly students and members of religious institutions.
